Marketing for launch of new shoe brand

For the last couple of months we have been involved in a very exciting project with African musician and performer Anna Mudeka to launch a new brand of women's shoes.

I met Anna when she spoke at our Wayland Women in Business group and we talked over lunch about what 2up Creative did.  Not long afterwards Anna got in touch to say that she had a top secret project that she wanted help with marketing!

When we met Anna revealed that she was producing a new brand of shoes that would combine comfort with the vibrant fabrics of her native Africa.  At this point all Anna had in terms of marketing was a logo and, after discussions about what we could offer, she opted for our 2up Creative small buiness package.

Over the coming months we worked hard to pull all the elements together to give the new new brand - called Mudeka Tribe - the right feel and image.  Key to this was a photo and film shoot that we set up in Elm Hill in Norwich - with the idea of setting the African fabric in a tradional historic Norfolk setting.

These images were then used across the website and in promtional material. We used the film footage to produce a 90 second short promoting the brand alon with some 15 second teaser trailers that have been used across social media for promotion.

The website was launched last week and includes an online shop where all of the shoes can be bought.  We tied in the launch of the site with the distribution of a press release to local media and this will be ramped up next week with the official Norfolk launch of the shoes at Norwich fashion week.
